Wyvette Leoni is a board-certified Physician Assistant who studied at the Medical University of South Carolina. While in school, she was a member of the Executive Board and a Student Representative for the American Academy of Physician Assistants—a role that allowed her to act as a spokesperson for her cohort on a national level. She also served as a Student Ambassador for the College of Health Professions, sharing her passion and excitement for the PA field with prospective students. Wyvette graduated from MUSC’s PA program with honors'.

A California native, Wyvette moved to the Lowcountry in 2016 and has come to think of herself as a Charleston “local”. She enjoys meeting new people, learning their stories, and walking with them through life’s triumphs, challenges, and all the moments in between.

Wyvette’s journey into healthcare began over ten years ago in the medical radiology field where she had a career as an MRI and CT Technologist. She enjoyed the work but found herself yearning for a role that would allow her to build meaningful relationships with her patients as they worked to become the best version of themselves.

This drive for connection and passion for mental health inspired Wyvette to attend PA school and pursue a career in Psychiatry, a field that will allow her to make meaningful impacts in the lives of others on a daily basis. She is grateful to have the opportunity to assist people through some of the toughest times of their life and provide the care they need, both with medication management and psychosocial support.

Wyvette believes that everyone needs a little encouragement and deserves to have a cheerleader in their corner. It is her goal to assist patients in getting the most fulfillment and joy out of life they possibly can.
